Welcomes You

We only become what we are by the radical and deep-seated refusal of that which others have made of us.

About Me

I have been practising as a psychologist and psychotherapist since 2005, helping people find their way forward through individual and group therapy. My experience began overseas, where I worked across various clinical and community settings before continuing my practice here in Australia.

Experience and Approach

After receiving my initial registration as a psychologist, I undertook four years of in-depth training in Systemic Therapy and Counselling. I further completed training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy by completing my EMDR training in 2013.

I collaborated extensively with non-government organisations, where I coordinated programs focused on rehabilitation for addictions and supporting socially vulnerable groups. Simultaneously, I maintained a private practice, helping individuals and families with a wide range of mental health and personal growth challenges.

Since moving to Australia, I have continued my counselling and therapy work across various organisations. To ensure my practice aligns with current Australian standards, I then completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland.

My Practice in Toowoomba

In 2023, I established my private practice in East Toowoomba at the Downs Specialists Centre.

I am an AHPRA-endorsed Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). I am also a Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).

My Approach

The backbone of my work is the systemic philosophy, which draws from many different sources like psychology, cybernetics, biology and sociology. Another significant influence on my work is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Elements of Solution-Focused Therapy & attachment theory help give space to emotionally charged material, while Cognitive Behavioural Techniques integrate and anchor newly learned behaviour in everyday life. Apart from this, almost every therapy school has made numerous valuable contributions, and they all have their respective roles and moments in my clinical practice.

Clinical Focus Areas :

  • EMDR Therapy for Trauma and PTSD

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help your brain process and resolve traumatic memories. During sessions, we work with a specific distressing memory to reduce its emotional intensity and stop the intrusive thoughts and nightmares associated with it. EMDR helps you move past the trauma, leading to a significant reduction in anxiety and stress, a greater sense of calm, and the ability to regain control over your life

  • Systemic Family Therapy

We look at the whole family unit to understand how relationships and patterns of interaction influence wellbeing. The aim is to help families improve communication, resolve conflict, and build stronger bonds. My focus is on empowering parents with the understanding and skills to support their children's needs, leading to lasting positive change for everyone.

  • Systemic Therapy (Individual & Couples)

This is a relational approach that looks beyond the individual, exploring how your relationships and environment influence your challenges. By focusing on underlying patterns, we work to bring about a clear, contextual understanding that supports personal growth and healthier connections."
